William E. "Bill" Wight

Born and raised in Fresno, California.

Attended Clovis Union High School, Clovis, California.

Attended Fresno City College, Fresno State College (University of California at Fresno).  Graduated Brigham Young University 1966 with a major in marketing and a composite minor of accounting, economics and statistics.

Married Judy R. Sensenbach, a native of Driggs, Idaho in 1966.  We have raised four boys, Jeff, Paul, Gary and Brad and enjoy 12 grandchildren.

US Army with service in Germany (Ordinance) and Vietnam (Corps of Engineers).  Attained the rank of Captain.  Also served in the Army reserves for a number of years.

Employed at Sears Roebuck and Company, delivery, hardware, management trainee, Credit Sales Manager.

Entered the Financial Services Industry with the Equitable in 1976.  Worked as an agent and then a district manager.  Marketed in the areas of Life Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance, Securities Sales, Financial Planning and Estate Planning.  Left the Equitable in 2000 to join Centaurus Financial.

Currently an Advisory Associate since 2000 with Centaurus Financial.

I have industry designations of LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter).

I have been a resident of Idaho since 1974 and a have lived in Twin Falls since 1980.

Philosophy

No one can manage your money better than you.  The key question is will you actually do it?  Experience indicates that most people invest money and then ignore it and hope for the best.  Investing, like any other job is work.  You must pay attention or hire a third party to pay attention for you.  Any other approach can lead to disaster.  Just ask anyone that let their retirement dreams go up in smoke during the bear market of 2000-2002.  Most of us aren't interested in working another job.  The unfortunate consequence of that is under-yielding "safe" results or under- yielding market results.  I'm here to help you maximize your results.
